Scentsy Story
Hi there, welcome to my page. My name is Teah and I am 18 years old. I am currently revising for my A levels before heading off to university in September this year. I live with my grandma and my Scentsy business is a joint venture with her - it's a Grandma /Grandaughter enterprise!
Grandma and I are avid readers and so it is no surprise that I am hoping to study English Literature at Uni. I think you'll get a sense of our shared literary interest as you get to know us and our business. My great aunt and sponsor has been a long term Scentsy fan for a few years and to be perfectly honest, we made our first order, in November 2018, just to support her as she started out with Scentsy. We were used to perfuming our home with good old plug in air fresheners and scented candles, so the thought of spending good money...a lot of money ...on warmers seemed excessive. We ordered the cheapest plug ins from the catalogue and ordered a couple of Christmassy scented bars. We were going to use our mini warmers as Christmas decorations and pack them away on Twelfth Night!
But that didn't happen. Christmas came and went but the warmers stayed!
The scents were fantastic and the mini warmers, when on, were focal points in the rooms. They cast enough light to be lamps and gave our rooms an ambience we didn't expect and, oh, the scents. Long lasting, a block lasted several days and the intensity of the scent was maintained. We ordered a full-size warmer - the Ocean Mosaic (now a clearance item at just £44) and its blues and greens matched our decor perfectly. We ordered a few more bars.....and then a few more. We realised that each of us had different scent profiles. My preferences for scents were more floral whilst Grandma favoured the fruity families. New warmers were ordered for the bedrooms, then the hall and the kitchen. Anyone who came to the front door was impressed with the dynamic impact of our Nova warmer and the waxes that gently warmed. Callers commented on the gorgeous fragrances and we wre happy to point out that we were warming Scentsy waxes - Luna, Bora Bora Blossum, Gleeful Grape, Mystic Magnolia ....
Suffice to say, despite our initial cynicism, we are now totally hooked. We warm waxes every day and each room provides a different Scentsy experience. It's safe and economic because the heating elements warm the waxes at low temperatures and we can pop out to the shop without having to worry about naked candle flames. The lingering aromas are the best welcome after a day at school and, as I study, relaxing and calming. Just when we think we know our favourites, we discover a new scent.
After starting out as reluctant customers, we are now so enthusiastic that our sponsor (Grandma's sister, Emma) suggested that we join the team and she has been encouraging and supporting us as we set up our own little business. So whilst I am trying to save for my university fund, Emma benefits too. It is win-win all round.
